These Terms govern your use of Lewa, a school management platform for nursery and primary schools in Cameroon, operated by its owner as a sole proprietor ("Lewa", "we", "us"). They apply to the Lewa website at lewa.app and the Lewa application. By creating an account or using Lewa, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Lewa.
1. The service
Lewa provides software for schools to manage pupils, staff, attendance, marks, fees and related records, to send notifications to parents, and a section where schools and teachers can connect. We may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login details confidential. You must not share your account or let others use it. Tell us promptly at lewacmr@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Schools' responsibilities
A school using Lewa is responsible for the information it enters about pupils, parents, guardians and staff, including having the right to enter it and obtaining any consent required — for example, consent from parents before sending them messages. Schools must use Lewa only for lawful, legitimate school administration.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Lewa, including not: using it unlawfully; uploading information you have no right to share; attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours; disrupting or attempting to break the service; or using it to harass or harm anyone.
5. The teacher section
Teachers who create a profile must provide accurate information. Lewa simply helps schools and teachers find one another; it is not an employer or recruitment agency, does not guarantee that any teacher will be hired or that any school will find staff, and is not a party to any arrangement reached between a school and a teacher. Any hiring, agreement or payment is strictly between the school and the teacher.
6. Fees and payments
Any fees for using Lewa itself will be agreed and communicated to you separately. Fee and payment records kept inside Lewa (such as pupils' school fees) are entered and managed by schools; those payments are between the school and the parent, and Lewa only records them.
7. Your content
Information and records you enter remain yours (or the relevant school's). You grant Lewa permission to store and process them only as needed to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Our content
Lewa, including its software, design and branding, belongs to us. You may not copy, resell or attempt to extract the underlying software.
9. Availability
Lewa is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep it running reliably but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may carry out maintenance or make changes.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lewa is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made based on information entered into the service by schools or other users. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under the law of Cameroon.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms or is used unlawfully. You may stop using Lewa at any time.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Cameroon, and any dispute will be subject to the courts of Cameroon.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed, and continued use of Lewa after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
